85/hr Azure Security Engineer. 6-9+ Months. Contract. Milwaukee, WI. (L-3076) (A)

WHY APPLY?

Are you an Azure Security Engineer?  Have a history of a variety of scripting languages in support of the same?  Then this gig might be of interest to you.

In short, our client is looking to add an Azure Security Engineer to their existing team.  Ideal candidates would have a history of scripting languages like PERL, BASH, etc.  OAuth and ADFS are nice to have but this is not an Identity Management/Authorization role.  AWS is part of the environment but is not key for this role.  There is a preference to local candidates but given the niche nature of the role non-local candidates willing to relocate would be considered (role is on-site).  You can see other aspects/skills associated to the role below.

So, if this sounds like you, APPLY TODAY!!!

    CHANGE LOG:

02/08/18 14:12 PM . Tim Bauer. We'll close this for now (hiring manager seems to be absorbing recent contractors). We'll reopen when/if they want more in this category. Thanks for applying.

01/24/18 16:23 PM . Tim Bauer. Per agent putting this on hold for a bit as we wait for client to figure out recent hires.

01/18/18 14:14 PM . Tim Bauer. Still looking. Ideally someone that starts as a dev and then moves into DevOps around Azure w/ notable scripting on the same.

01/11/18 14:24 PM . Tim Bauer. Client confirms Azure role is still active. Continue here.

01/10/18 20:07 PM . Tim Bauer. Client passes on submission after tech screen. Still open.

01/08/18 22:40 PM . Tim Bauer. Still going per agent. End client is just tee’ing up the projects and work for the new wave of security contractors…

01/08/18 22:40 PM . Tim Bauer. Still going per agent. End client is just tee’ing up the projects and work for the new wave of security contractors…

01/08/18 20:30 PM . Tim Bauer. Client confirms they would consider a prior contractor with slightly lower cloud devOps background.

01/08/18 16:28 PM . Tim Bauer. Shared basic paper of candidate that worked at end-client in past to see if that matters (otherwise profile is a bit light in cloud; mostly admin)

01/04/18 20:33 PM . Tim Bauer. Table candidate that we talked to as focus is more on single instance creation (and edits on the same) but not much focus on enteprise configuration (i.e. via scripting) or security concerns (like pushing out configuraiton changes)

01/04/18 18:45 PM . Tim Bauer. Completed screen of submission. Hold to confirm if client wants someone with more focus on AWS (lite Azure) and/or CI/CD (vs security). Assume they want the Azure/Security bias in profiles.

01/03/18 16:36 PM . Tim Bauer. Agent confirms there is a stronger immediate need for Azure (over AWS as notated in L-3075). Security Engineering Assessments (SEA) is something they see as a plus.

01/02/18 22:17 PM . Tim Bauer. Client informally reviewed our submission and had this to say -- "Could assist with SEAs related work for Azure, Office 365, and designs for cloud FWs. Has strong experience with Azure and networking, but seems to be lacking in scripting. Well educated (master’s in IT) and certified (many technical certifications)." So one could note they are screening for -- SEA, Azure, Office365, Cloud FW, Scripting (build/deploy; security mgmt), and education/certs.

12/28/17 14:44 PM . Tim Bauer. Hiring manager out this week. Will interview 3 of our people next week. So still going but slow play till that happens.

12/21/17 19:25 PM . Tim Bauer. Still going. Holidays is slowing down interviews. Hiring manager has requested to talk w/ 2-3 of our submissions. We'll have to see if happens before 1st of year.

12/15/17 15:05 PM . Tim Bauer. Hiring manager confirms they will screen our submitted candidate(s) next week. So we'll wait to see how that pans out BUT they do still want more candidates similar to what we have sent. Trying to get clarity on what they want 'more' of.

12/14/17 14:49 PM . Tim Bauer. Still going -- waiting on feedback from hiring manager on first couple of candidates we shared over to her.

12/12/17 18:23 PM . Tim Bauer. Sharing a candidate w/ a security engineer flavor/focus coupled with cloud config/testing around security to hiring manager.

    12/08/17 22:08 PM . Lead Created
