In short, our direct client uses a CPQ (configure, price, quote) tool called KBMax.   They want to integrate that with their Solid Works engineering platform as well as the manufacturing, quoting, and sales processes.  Ideally resources applying to this role would be qualified in Solid Works Automation but they would consider a strong mechnical engineer with depth in autocad as well.  The role is a perm position but they would consider contract to hire if the candidate prefers that.

    02/12/18 16:29 PM . Tim Bauer. Need someone that can talk to an import INTO SolidWorks to create (fully/partially) the part in SolidWorks based on data coming in (usually CPQ systems).

    02/10/18 20:22 PM . Tim Bauer. The core filter on this, per CIO, isn’t about a tool (i.e. CPQ systems, which stands for configure price quote [cpq]). Its about integration. Has the candidate done some form of integration between a “Configure, Price, Quote” system and SolidWorks (importing data via scripting for example).
