This position participates in developing internal system user manuals, business requirements, user stories, and other technical documentation as required by the State of Wisconsin WisVote team for delivering technical assistance, education, and training to local election officials and users of WisVote and other major applications. This position will also participate in carrying out an array of elections program initiatives and activities delineated in the agency’s goals and management plans as needed. This position will attain a high-level working knowledge of federal and state election laws, administrative rules, Commission policies, and business processes to effectively interpret and document these requirements for all types of election applications used to facilitate elections across the State of Wisconsin.
The selected candidate must live locally and be available to come into the office on occaision.

#1 - Tech Writing 4+ years. Experience interpreting complex source materials. Must live in Wisconsin.
SKILLS - CORE:

Location: Madison, WI. Client is open to 90% remote work per week. Local candidates only. but need to be within commute distance to the end-client.
Compensation: Up to $31.00/hr in a c2c/1099 structure. Limited W2 structure also possible but rate drops to $26.00/hr gross. We say gross as the limited w2 rate shown is before employer/employee taxes (not take home; take home would be lower as its after employee taxes which vary).
Payment Terms: Bi-Weekly invoice, NET 45 payment off invoice.
